P.S. Waverley Model Kit

£13.99

A classic vessel of the late steam age, P.S. Waverley is one of the most famous vessels afloat in the UK today. Constructed relatively late for a paddle steamer, she was launched in 1946 to carry passengers up and down the firth of Clyde. At the end of her time as a working vessel, Waverley was sold for £1 to the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society, and now exists as the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer. The vintage charm of the sedate Clyde steamer still attracts many visitors every year, and Waverley continues to run excursions around Scotland, and beyond.

This small laser-cut model of Waverley has been designed and made entirely in Scotland, and is simple enough to be built in half an hour. It is unpainted, but comes with glue, detailed assembly instructions, and painting guidelines. It's to an approximate scale of 1:650, and comes in at 112mm long. Due to its small parts, it is not a toy, and shouldn't be given to small children.
